Hey everyone! Welcome back to The Coop with Meyer Hatchery – where we talk all things poultry in hopes of inspiring crazy chicken keepers and educating future flock owners. Each week we like to take a Meyer Moment to cover relevant happenings.

Let’s take a Meyer Moment to talk about our newest chick release, a Lisa Steele Exclusive! Meyer Hatchery is proud to once again partner with our friend and fellow chicken enthusiast, Lisa Steele, to bring you Cookies and Cream Day-Old Chicks!

A tasty treat for your eyes, this new flock addition is going fast with their mottled plumage and feathered legs. Featuring a crest, beard and most will have 5 toes, this medium-sized chicken will produce cream-colored eggs (hence their name).

Already showing popularity since their release last week, you’ll want to be sure to continually check on availability for a chance to add them to your flock.

Last year we worked with Lisa to bring you the Steele Eggers. A hybrid that offers our customers beautiful hens that can lay an array of blue or green eggs. These designer chickens may have a beard and crest to top of their beautiful blue or splash feathers.

Lisa Steele’s favorite chicks from Meyer Hatchery are all very hardy breeds, consisting of blue and black colors and lay a great variety of eggs. Some of them include breeds like the Black Australorp, Lavender Orpington, Blue Copper Marans, Mottled Cochin, and more! You can find all of Lisa’s favorites marked in our catalog or through the link below.

As our Breed Flock Manager mentioned in Episode 46, we have a lot of exciting releases lined up, with Lisa Steele’s Cookies and Cream just the beginning.

We hope you enjoyed this Meyer Moment and have the chance to add Lisa Steele’s Cookies and Cream chick to your flock!

Enjoy the rest of your week and as always, thank you for listening to The Coop!
